Overview
It was announced that the festival would return as an in-person event along with the announcement of the 2022 Dark Lord packages on July 28th, 2022. The festival & ticket sales dates were announced, and the website was updated on November 18th, 2022.
Ticket prices and packages were announced on February 22nd. New this year is Deluxe tickets, which include the regular ticket items as well as a Dark Lord Merch package, and access to the Deluxe tent
The Deluxe tent is located in the stage lot and includes access to an exclusive bar featuring rare 3 Floyds beer with tap times, private restrooms, and a separate food tent.
Band lineup was announced on March 8th. Guest breweries were announced on March 10th.
Variants were teased on March 13th, suggesting there will be 6 variants. Actual variants were announced March 15th.
Additional details regarding the Deluxe tickets were provided on March 16th.
On April 19th, it was announced that the final band would be Municipal Waste. Also, a limited number of tickets would go on sale at Noon 4/19.
Sybris was added to the lineup on April 21st.
On May 10th, the Festival Map was released.
On May 11th, band set times were announced.

Presale for those who purchased 2021 Dark Lord packages went live on March 17th, 2023 at Noon. An email with a presale code was sent around 11:00am.
This year there are two tiers of tickets, regular and deluxe.

Sales
Customers who purchased 2022 Dark Lord packages were sent a presale code the day before public ticket sales. The presale went live on March 17 at Noon Central, presale codes were sent out approximately one hour before hand. The presale code provided was generic and ended up being shared around the internet, but that did not appear to cause any major issues. The Deluxe tickets which were allotted for the presale sold out quickly in a couple minutes. General tickets were available throughout the afternoon and evening.
The public sale went live on Saturday March 18th at Noon Central, Deluxe Tickets sold out quickly in just a few minutes. Group A sold out late afternoon.
On March 21st, Three Floyds posted that tickets were still available along with promoting the bottle share at the event. Three Floyd's issued a low ticket alert on their Instagram stories on March 23rd, tickets for Groups B-E were still available at this time and were still available over the next couple days. On March 25th, the ticketing site changed to a "Not on Sale" status.
On the morning of April 19th, they announced a limited number of tickets would go on sale again at noon Central via eTix. Group's B-E were available, late that evening Group B had sold out. On April 24th tickets sales were again taken down.
Ticket Sweepstakes
There was a ticket sweepstakes to win a pair of Dark Lord Day tickets running this year. This was advertised at various retailers, grocery stores, and liquor stores with a QR code to enter. You could also enter online.
Winners were announced on and around February 7th.
